Does fasting help in controlling Diabetes?

  Fasting is not really a solution to control diabetes or to lose weight, but it helps sometimes. Studies have shown that if you fast for three days a week then management of glucose in your body gets improved and insulin resistance decreases in cells by this blood glucose level can be controlled.

Another study has shown that fasting can help in weight lose because in our body some extra glucose is stored in liver as in form of glycogen. Then if you don't eat anything body starts collecting energy by burning fat instead of breaking glycogen from the liver if it start breaking glycogen then glycogen will turn into glucose. In this way it can help both lose bodyweight and controlling blood glucose level.

But this studies need more wide experiment to see how long this effects can last and there are many more risk factors if done without supervision of experts.

Ketogenic Diet could be very helpful in controlling Diabetes because it cuts the carbohydrates which is one of the main source of blood glucose.
